I know some of you were looking forward to this. Took me two days to ink and color it up. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. The whole purpose of this was to show that George's plates go all the way up his back in hybrid form. I'm still getting to know this character so lots of practice art and mood pieces like this. Originally the walls were going to be wood. But I had a few people point out that my lines looked more like bricks. So I decided to go with that, because as a gunslinger he would fortify his own house. I have decided this is his house after all. He has decided to give living like a human a try. I added some little details to the room to try to make it more interesting. One of my infamous paintings in a painting again too. He prefers to take this form when in a gun fight. His plates can deflect bullets for a short time before cracking. But best to not get to that point at all. Sometimes he'll use his tail as a shield.
I do too. It's so different from everything else I have drawn. Yes, he's upset and sad. Now that I put out the next chapter I can mention why. He's become outcast and feels betrayed by those he was loyal to.
The finished picture is pretty good. It's mazing to see how a simple sketch turns to something like this in a pretty short range of time. I certainly like that you took the brick house. The funny thing here is the tornado picture. A brick house is able to withstand tornados with weaker or medium strength as far as I know. I also like the view on george's back, because it gives me an impression of his anatomy in hybrid-form. The lighting is also well done.... well, I guess he has a nice place to live at. It will certainly be easier to do his job with a house, which is way more expensive and stable than the wooden huts I see in western movies. It's a small stronghold in comparison.
Thanks. Relatively short amount of time I suppose. The two days I worked on it I put in full hours of work each day. A supposed simpler or easier piece this still took me a long time. I hope I can catch up and shorten my list but that's been very hard especially since I keep adding to it. Yeah, I think making it bricks was a much better decision. I've already come up with a funny short story of how he got them. I hadn't considered it like that. Yes, these houses do stand up well to weak tornadoes and earthquakes. Many houses in Mexico and Central America are made of brick and stone this way. That was the original purpose of this. I think his hybrid anatomy is very interesting but something you'd never really see since he always wears his duster everywhere. I also liked seeing all this personal things like his duster and guns just lying around. Money isn't a problem for George and it's not because he steals it either. Though he can and has in the past. I will be posting another story with him soon that fixes the mess I made in Gun to a Knife Fight.
Probably both. He's a very broody type. He gets down on himself for not being accepted by humans or demons. Hehe, I love adding disaster paintings into my indoor environments. Starting to run out of ideas though. So far I have done the Titanic, a pirate ship in a war, a noose and now this.
Aw, I'm glad you were anticipating this. I really enjoyed making the lantern and coloring it. It was one of those last moment decisions to add it. Lonely seems to be the theme with him lately. But it's true because there's no one else like him. I think once things are colored they make so much more sense than when they are just a pencil sketch. I'm glad his plates make sense and how they work now.
I'm glad you decided to add it! Yep, lonely does seem to be a theme with George... Poor guy. I agree, things do tend to make more sense once they are coloured! Yep, his plates make a lot of sense... And they look awesome too!
Ok, I'm asking because a friend mentioned to me that ISFJ's wouldn't have crooked paintings. So I'm trying to confirm that. But Geroge though he's ISFJ probably wouldn't know that. He'd just know you're supposed to put paintings on walls since he's trying to be more like a human.
I also think that guys don't notice decor as much as girls so it may not be important to him, even in the same type. Solan would though, and he keeps everything perfect, but he's been human WAY longer and his type is more detail oriented. Ha, that would be a funny thing. If Solan came to his house and straightened all his pics while they were just chatting.
Thank you. I agree with this. I ask because a friend mentioned that his personality type would not like crooked pics. But I'm not so sure, so I have been asking my ISFJ friends what they think of the "crooked painting". I also think that males won't have the same eye for decor that females do. It's much more simplified. Paintings are supposed to go on a walls, to a painting is on the wall. He's very efficient and diligent in his job, but I don't think he'd noticed something like that unless someone told him. Also he's not really a human so he might not know everything that humans do.
Some of the hierarchy were given rein of different parts of the Earth through different periods of time. This sparks all the mythologies of the world. Quetzalcoatl was in charge of the New World, but he got bored and left to have some fun in Europe as the human Ophidius. Countless were left without their god. Thagirion gave North America to Gallemotch in the 1800's and made him his official soul collector for that area as he's such an efficient hunter. So his job is to kill and bring back the souls of the most wicked men. He takes a cut for himself of course.
Yes, the bird is called a Quetzal actually and were the winged serpent gets the name from coatl means snake so quetzal snake. Yes Ophidius and Quetzalcoatl are one and the same. So far of all my characters he has the most forms, including a quetzal form and an eyelash viper. I have a pic in here of him fighting with Sorath the sun god in their bird forms. Unfortunately for Ophidius Sorath is a falcon. fav.me/d677h5p Yes Thagirion is the devil and he is also the creator god. He's the big boss over everyone and the mastermind behind it all.
Yeah, something's got him pretty sad and defeated. Me too. That's what I wanted to show that it's not just a tail. I forgot to mention in the description that this is why he prefers his form when gun fighting. His plates can take a few bullet wounds before cracking.
Gracias. Es una broma que me gusta hacer. Quando hay un cuadro en el fondo es de un desastre. Especialmente si mi dibujo es de una pelea. Si, George esta en su forma hibrida. Su forma verdadera es mescla de cien pies y planta.
