The Quetzal and The Falcon

Description

Somewhere out in the rainforest, Ophidius was running his mouth again. In bird form. This may have taken place shortly after Sorath was removed as the primary god of the new world and it was handed over to Quetzalcoatl/Ophidius. I'm guessing he was teasing him about being a lousy sun god and why this was all handed to him. Sorath's bird form is a Peregrine Falcon. So now Ophidius is in trouble. Quetzals are no match for falcons, though they are of comprable size. I do like the irony that Sorath has pinned him down on top of one of the statues of Quetzalcoatl. He's trapped on his own statue. These temples aren't meant to be any specific temple. I just made a composite of pyramids that I like.

Oh man, what irony indeed! :D That's awesome. I love how Sorath's always kicking his ass. The blood is also a nice touch! I love how he never takes things seriously, and is always making inappropriate wise-cracks about everything... even when he's in great pain or dying. To him, death is merely annoying, since he can heal and regenerate, so I guess he can afford to be cocky. How infuriating for Sorath, that it doesn't even phase him much, as well as the fact that he can quickly heal... so, in a way, his master's permitting him to maim and torture Quetz is rather a tease. No real satisfaction there.

That's new to me- about Solrath having an animal form. Very interesting! Is this part of why Sorath hates him so much, because he stole his position as primary god of the new world? (How did this affect his position on the hierarchy, or is that totally separate?) Why would Thagirion permit that? Hmm, maybe this is why he sympathizes so much with George...
